When you come visit Canvas & Clay, everything you see is made by local artists and makers. These vendors also take turns working in the store to keep our overhead low, and to pass on the savings to you!

If you’ve already attended one of our workshops, we have regular drop-in opportunities to keep working on your projects. Work at your own speed, and use our tools!
No charge
Ages 12+
Bring your own knitting or crochet project, and enjoy the company of fellow knitters!
$15 for two hours, or $30 for full day
Ages 16+
Bring your own supplies or browse our selection of glass and accessories for sale. Use our tools to help complete your projects.
Some experience with glass-working is required; no training will be provided. Tools will be available for use.
$30 for two hours
Ages: 18+
Use our pottery wheels to work on your own projects. You must be able to independently throw, manage your pots’ drying, and clean up without guidance.
Clay is sold separately. Firing is available for an additional price. Please discuss details with your instructor.

Childcare available!
Let us entertain your kids while you attend a workshop! These workshops have optional childcare available, just a few doors down at 110C Simpson Street. Our playroom is set up as a small town, full of ‘shops’ and ‘outdoor spaces’ for your children to explore.
Emma Hutchinson has four years of experience working at a local daycare. She is currently studying in the Early Childhood Education program through Confederation College. Emma is offering supervised play including an activity. Click here for more workshops with childcare.
